Anyone know the power and access situation in Galveston? Need to potentially get to Shriners Hospital

Power is fine in many places behind the seawall. Could still be spotty on the west end.

The Strand still has some power issues and most of the businesses there took on water so they are in recovery mode.

I would call the hospital to find out their current power situation.

My understanding is that access around the island is not an issue.

Beach sound good

I'm giving away my age here but there's been so many seashells I've collected. Maybe Beryl washed them up. Still can't ever find a shark tooth.

I've got a lot of sand dollars that my mom picked up ages ago. I've only seen a live one twice. They are amazing little creatures. But I don't see them on the beach anymore.

Be sure to visit Darlene's Shrimp Shack while you're there. Best fried shrimp anywhere. I recommend the garlic parmesan!
