We've gone to Rellis the past few years, but they screwed us on parking last year so I'm looking for a new option.

Watch your mouth firework money is not a waste of taxpayers dollars
They will only spend about 20,000-30,000 dollars in 15-20 minutes

Well I was being silly. It is a big waste of money to spend those kind of dollars on maybe 3-500 people
And actually it is probably closer to the 50,000 range having to pay someone and the size of the firework show
Not including staff to clean up and keep organized

At least for this year, Lions Club partnered with City of College Station for the fireworks that they are doing tonight.
I don't know how much is paid for by Lions Club and how much by the city, but their name's on it.

No one I know likes it better there. I know for a lot of people (myself included) won't go out to RELLIS as it's a bit of a cluster. We watched on TV last night.
It started there because Covid killed it at Bush. We wouldn't have had anything in 2020, unless they had the drive in fireworks at RELLIS. Then they kept it there.

Had a friend say the show literally the same as the one at RELLIS until half the drones decided they were tired and did their slow green matrix thing back to the ground.

Found myself available around show time and took a position in the mall parking lot. I went strictly to see what kind of show it would be. Normally I take photo equipment and have fun with shows that way.
The drone thing is interesting but only appears great if you are in the right viewing position for the display. Fireworks gives their splendor to all.
The show was great! Plenty of huge spread shells and a good timing between each firework. I am not a fan of fireworks running on top of each other except for the finale.
Will take this in next year with my gear and a better view spot.

Where is trouble's report from Kurten? I'm curious how it compares to my take (take not offered yet).
We stayed home this year. I would like to hear how it went though.
The "5th" celebration was better than Kurten this year (we did both). The drones put on a great show until they ran out of juice at the end. I would love to know what the final pictures were going to be! The fireworks were incredible and you could EASILY get much closer to the action than you can in Kurten. The music was loud and patriotic. We loved it. Even though there were tons of people there it was super easy in/out parking at the mall.
