What is up with all the Hawks this year?

They are all over town. Saw just a ton on the way out to Brenham. A top poles over looking fields for rodents and such I'm sure.


I have not seen near the grackle issues this year and the squirrels seem to be on the move a bit more than their usual lackadaisical selves.

Have they ever been this noticeable before?


Any uptick in pet attacks?

The grackles have moved elsewhere?

I still see plenty of grackles.

One place and time you can usually count on seeing them is the HEB parking lot, Texas and Holleman location, around sunset.

Great pics! I've noticed a lot of hawks and more than a decrease in grackles here in B/CS.

My sisters see hawks on a regular basis in San Antonio and northwest Dallas, respectively. Both live with powerline easement/greenbelts. Are they adapting more to suburban hunting???
