I had a buddy wanting me to plant a ghost pepper because he does not know where to buy them in BCS

So he wanted me to grow them and I did plant two for him This is the edit because I read the original post again

A local place sell thai pepper for 8.99 a pound but I was wondering would there be a market if I decided to try to raise and sell Ghost Peppers

obscure market but I do know a few hot heads... (nephew puts it on pizza.)

All the exotic peppers you could want are at the Aggieland farmer's market (at the mall) every Saturday. Check out Dan with BubbleRock Farms. He has some amazing pepper plants.

Dan is great! Bought a few rare Peruvian peppers from him.

Re ghost peppers: because so few are needed the demand is likely small. I grow a fair number of hot peppers that become sauce; this year's experiment is the famous Datil pepper from St Augustine FL which is like a habanero but less hot, fruitier and more complex. It makes an incredible hot sauce. But I can't imagine there'd be mass demand for such a pepper.

Starts at 8 and goes through noon. Kind of outside where Sears was….go south on the frontage road and you'll see it. The wonderful Bolton couple would be happy to talk peppers with you too.

Call Korey at The Remnant at Nawlins. He uses them. So does Jesse's Taqueria when available.

Producers coop has always had some Ghost Peppers plants for sale every spring. I bought about a dozen banana pepper plants last year and every one ended up being Ghost Peppers.

I've tried growing ghost peppers with very little success. No issues with other peppers but no luck with ghosts. Maybe they need more acidic soil. Not sure.

I grow my peppers in fabric 15 gallon plant bags and use bagged garden soil which has a lot of organic matter which may make it acidic to some degree. Has worked for about 20 years or so.
