Looking for a place similar to Joe's Place, Smitty K's and Lake Bryan for a staff get together. Lots of places around town that are more wedding event type places or you have to cater.

Any thoughts about places like that around town?

Smitty K's had a fire and is closed until they rebuild.

Let us know how many people you expect to attend and why kind of event you are looking for. Do you want it to be employees only employees + spouses employees and family with kids of all ages?

Lake Bryan can be a good option but its has been hot and may not be all that fun in this weather. For something different Challenge Works at A&M is really cool for teambuilding. It is a ropes course that they can tailor to any ability level. They don't care if you bring in food either. You can have your own catering come in or you can brown bag your lunch and bring a cooler full of drinks. -- Challenge Works is outside and you have weather considerations too.

For something inside, reserve Legends Event Center during the week for a pickleball tournament among employees. Pickleball works across lots of age groups. They also have meeting / banquet rooms where you can have your food brought in and sit & eat. The best part is that its all done with air conditioning.

Please clarify- are ypu wanting a place that offers food options, or are you wanting a venue that you have to bring in catering?

Might also look at Big Shots. They can host events, and offer food options.

Geared more towards weddings- The Cotton Exchange in downtown Bryan. Or The Veranda (have cheaper rates for non weekends for "other than wedding" events)

We are looking for about 80 people.

Would prefer a place that could handle food at their place over a place and then cater

BUT, it could depend on if the venue was the right price and we could supplement with the food.

Forgot to mention as well, family friendly.

You may want to look at Coopers. They can handle that many people. They have a grassy (artificial) area for kids to run around and cornhole sets.

Maybe Lupe Tortilla? I believe you can rent the patio for events and it has a nice area for kids to play.

Not sure what time you needed, but maybe even the Backyard on Northgate?
