I took Friday off to be with fam for spring break. We were thinking about Washington on the Brazos but I dont wanna take the fam if the Star of Texas museum is closed, and I don't think they reopened it since September, so I am wondering aside from BlueBell is there anything anyone has an idea to do aside from the Zoo? Zoo is best candidate at this point.

Health Camp is great - there's also a pretty good Mexican place at the traffic circle called Trujillo's. George's is a Waco tradition as well.

In Brenham the Blue Bell tours are packed this week.. But you can try.
Went by on Monday and the parking lot was packed.

Visit one of the wild life drive thru safaris... The one nearest us is the Aggieland Safari.

Thanks everyone what great suggestions! I totes forgot about the Dr. Pepper Museum. I wonder if they have any of the Dublin Dr. Pepper there, the one with Pure Imperial Cane Sugar. Agree on the silos, we saw those and the astro turf food trucks already.

How old are your kiddos?

We really like the Waco Zoo. I've never done the Dr. Pepper museum, but have done the Mayborn one a bunch of time if your kids are younger. We used to do mommy/daughter weekends often to Waco and included those. And they have some nice parks. It might be too cold, but last time we rented a kayak and SUP and did that for an hour too.

Is the rain supposed to be gone by Friday? Might affect the plans.

Waco Zoo is nice and pretty shady during hotter times.

My boys and their cousins loved the Dr. Pepper Musuem. They got to make their own drinks and they loved that.

The homestead place was too tame for my family.

Mammoth dig was pretty cool. Really enjoyed it.

The boys and their cousins also went to the park on the Brazos where you can hike up to the top and look out over the area.

Brenham has Horseshoe Junction but it always seems like half of it is closed.

LJ's BBQ is amazing.

Silver Wings Ballroom for roller skating
