How many months do I need to train? I've done this before but I was younger and dumber then. I ain't doing the full boat. My hips and nipples can't handle it.

What is going on with the rookie account? Chris has been a TA poster for years and the BCS Marathon is a long-time sponsor.

Chris hasn't been the race director for close to a decade now and the guy who was running it moved out of state.

Maybe they decided on a fresh start with everything with a new director coming on board.

Hey, I'm still here! As trouble said, I founded the race in 2011 and am still the president and on the board, but others have been doing the day to day logistics for a while now.

We just hired a new race director who will be a familiar face to many of you, and he started an account to let everyone know about this year's dates. He'll be along shortly to formally introduce himself.

Dan will very much be missed. I just wasn't sure if y'all hired a new RD just yet and I couldn't remember if there was a TA account for the race itself. A few of us from BRC were scratching our heads at the new account. I'm excited for the upcoming race season.

Dan is a dear friend of a decade and will be sorely missed for sure. Looking forward to seeing you and the BRC crew out there again this year!

Let me take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Rodney Wellmann and am excited to say I am the race director for the Baylor Scott & White BCS Marathon. A quick snapshot off how I got here: I ran for James Giese at A&M Consolidated back in the 80s, went on to run at TCU during the old Southwest Conference days and then came back home and coached Cross Country and Track at Bryan, A&M Consolidated, and College Station High Schools. After 30 years in education, I retired and opened a small business. I learned in early January of the opening for the race director position and felt my experience and skill set would be a perfect match for the job. After running Marathons in Dallas, Houston, and Boston, and serving as a half marathon pacer for the BCS marathon for several years, I am now ready to poor my heart into bringing our community together in support of these three race events. Of course, I have huge shoes to fill. Dan left a positive impact not only on the BCS marathon but also the entire community of runners here. As for Chris, he is the founder and face of the BCS Marathon. He will always be 100% involved with the growth of the race. Look out for BCS Marathon partnerships with large businesses, BCS Chamber of Commerce, and running clubs from Waco to The Woodlands. The Marathon has been a marquee event for this community, and I look forward to overseeing its continued success.

Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns.

See you on the roads,
