I'm in Castlegate. I've emptied my rain gauge every morning for the past 3 mornings. Tuesday - 5 inches, Wednesday - 5 inches, today - 2.5 inches, for 12.5 inches total. Seems like significantly more than the 'official' totals. I'm not sure if my rain gauge is just not accurate or if my area just got that much rain.

My relatives in Brenham have seen over a foot of rain.

Our rain gauge was full yesterday (first time we checked since it started), it was full at 12"- and I'm sure it had to have over flowed.

I don't remember the last time I saw Brothers Pond as full as it was. Even the wooded areas of the park were flooded. We saw ducks swimming in the woods this morning.
My rain gauge broke a while back.
But our pond went from roughly 1-2 feet of water in it to overflowing (granted, drainage from our property runs to it). It's about 11 feet deep in the middle.
In our 5 years of living here, I have never seen it fill up that fast.
