How long do you want to ignore this user?
Had my flag up since Monday morning, still up as of Wednesday afternoon ~4PM, outgoing mail still sitting in mailbox.

I know Monday was a Federal holiday, but we just straight up didn't get service yesterday or today so far (they almost always come by this time).

Anybody else experiencing this? What gives?

Live in a house off Rock Prairie Road, if that matters.

I live off or RP and Victoria, I never put mail in the box anymore, just bring it to work and put in box by the office.

usually couple times a month I get my neighbors mail. God knows who gets my mail. I do as much as possible online and paperless so I don't rely on USPS

Ours came at 9:20pm last night. I was in the garage and happened to see them on our street with their hazards on.

The carrier said they had a LOT of mail yesterday and she didn't even leave the post office until 3:20pm to start her route.

I asked her if she had eaten dinner and she said no, she just wanted to get home.

She did thank me for meeting her at the mailbox so I could accept a package which saved her from having to stop and park and get out, and she thanked me for being concerned that she had not eaten dinner.

Also, we never send outgoing mail from our mailbox. We drop it at a post office.

Too many mail thefts for that sort of thing.

I wonder if when they're backed up, they cut some neighborhoods out, and double up on them the next day.

Thanks for the info! I'll keep an eye out into the evening, and just swing my outgoing by the PO tomorrow if it's not picked up tonight.

If you don't have mail that needs to be delivered, they aren't required to stop for outgoing mail.

We probably only have mail that needs to go in the mailbox about 3 times/week. Not that our mailman doesn't still need to stop here since it seems like we're trying to keep Amazon in business

I was going to say, more often than not the River Bookstore is keeping USPS in business at my place. The wife still takes outgoing mail (if there is any) to work.

USPS delivered a package yesterday but the "normal" mail didnt make it. Also had mail marked out for delivery for two days now and it still hasnt made its way here.

The lady who delivers to our office was telling us a few weeks ago that they are so short staffed, especially if several people call in sick, that they often cut routes each day. So your route may only get run 3-4 times/week.

The job fair was this morning.

It's a pretty thankless job that pays not so well. I'm sure they will be swamped with applicants. Was the fair for contractors or employees?

If you're mailing something important, don't put it in the drive-thru collection box at the post office. Especially if it's going to sit there overnight before being emptied. Instead, walk it into the lobby.

Also, if you're sending money of any type (checks, money orders, gift cards, etc.), send it using a method with tracking. Unlike how things used to be, electronic payments are now way safer than checks.

Ours didn't get delivered yesterday either. There was one item from Amazon that said it was left by the front door or porch (by the post office), and they left it next door instead.

I have no idea if other mail that should've arrived is late (mom mailed a card while she was in vacation in another state) or got misdelivered and neighbor didn't notice (or did and didn't bother to walk it over).

I don't think that making the postal carriers go pick stuff up in Bryan has helped any with CS mail delivery.

Which post office still has a drop box outside? All the ones I used to frequent have been removed.

Harvey Mitchell, for one. They're also scattered across town.

I thought they got rid of them a few months ago because of thefts.

And now they want to raise the price of a stamp again to 68 cents in January, Until service improves they don't need more money,

The USPS Sunday contractor has decided that not worth trying to deliver. Two weeks ago package was marked address insufficient to deliver and a few minutes later marked the same package undeliverable because the driveway was blocked. Which is it? Next week back to access blocked, of course it was delivered just fine on raciest indigenous explorers day, and fit just fine in the mailbox on the 5 lane street I live on. Neither was needed on Sunday but just the way it fell. But having it returned to the sender is frustrating.

At 10 am today there were 3 cars in the parking lot at the main post office off of 2818 in CS. The drive thru window was had a closed sign in it and the one drop box was stuffed so full that letters were sticking out. On October 13.

That drive thru window has been closed for many, many years. I always go inside and drop my mail in the slot (in the lobby near the self-serve kiosk).

Rain or shine, USPS (or their contractor) routinely puts my packages on top of the mailbox, in plain view out on the street, because they're too lazy to walk to the door.

No mail yet again. Neighbor says they haven't gotten anything with our names on it but will let us know if they do.

So, card my mom mailed a week early seems like it's probably lost.

We used to have a regular mailman, but it doesn't seem to always be the same one anymore.

I think they are skipping delivery since there's not even any junk mail.
