I am trying to assist an elderly person who is a widow of a WWII veteran. She is currently in assisted living but quickly depleting her finances - it's astounding how expensive elder care is! Are there any people locally who specialize in finding financial resources through the VA? I don't know where to start.

Call Congressman McCaul's office.
Ask for process guidance.

Brazos Valley Cares
Wreaths Across America
Vet Vans

Those are just three off the top of my head that are local. Have no idea if they offer what you are seeking, though.

The American Legion has service officers who specifically help with veterans benefits. The one in Bryan is great
