Why is the diverging diamond intersection closed to get on 2818 southbound? What's the point of that intersection if they shut it down and divert to stop signs in front of easterwood?

They have been doing that for years, even before the diamond was put in. It doesn't make any sense.

It made sense before the diamond intersection because you had left turns in front of on coming traffic. Now it makes zero sense.
