Re. Ag Workers - I've had 1 claim with them; a no-fault of my own, total loss collision. They were very adequately responsive in time and valuation compensation.

Progressive annual renewal - looking like a 28% increase. my broker said thats "good" but will shop my rate for me as well.

I switched to Progressive 6 months ago when GEICO wanted $95/month after renewal. Progressive offered $65/month for the same coverage. Fast forward to my first Progressive renewal and they're increasing it to $89/month (35% increase).

i think these companies just give you a low introductory rate, in hopes youre too lazy to switch the next year. i did the same previously - progressive to geico back to progressive

Im shopping quotes after my auto insurance for a 2018 pacifica and 2020 ram went from $1900 in 2021 to $4,700 this year with progressive. Its through goosehead. Wife hit a pole, only incident we filed a claim for.

This is why I am paying out of my pocket to replace my front bumper. Might have done the same thing.

Has anybody local used Amica insurance? They get good reviews on national reviewing sites (Consumer Reports, etc), and had decent rates when I quoted online.

Great company, excellent customer service and claims service. I had them for many years, but they stopped selling 1% deductible homeowners then changed their policy to depreciate roof claims. Their auto rates were still very competitive when I switched but the HO rates weren't after taking into account the coverage changes.

Very helpful information--thanks. I verified with Amica that they still only offer actual cash value for roof claims instead of replacement, which is pretty much a non-starter for us.
