Has anybody else noticed theres a lot more rock and debris on 6. I know four people who have gotten windshield hits the last few weeks.

Try Hwy 30 on the bridges. Trash loads spread like flower girl rose petals. Dirtiest patch of road I've ever seen.

Having my windshield replaced on Tuesday from a rock hit on the bypass last week

It is getting worst on all the main highways. I guess that comes with the growth we are having?

I have replaced two windshields in the past three years. Now I try to stay back from any large truck and if I pass I do it quickly.

It's been tires more than windshields for us. Between 3 cars I think we have fixed or had to completely replace 6 tires in the last year alone. Nails and bolts are everywhere.

Check with your insurance on these replacements. I had a big surprise this past renewal when I was told my rates were going up so to a high number of claims and it turns out rock chip repair and windshield replacements are no considered like a traffic incident.

Yeah cause most windshields cost about $1,000 to replace now.

Truth.
It's filthy on 30.
Trash and debris fall from the endless stream of garbage trucks.
Wish TxDot would add a lane for trash trucks only.

30 is ridiculous for trash. 158/Boonville is going to be bad for rocks as well now - large patches broke up and are now asphalt gravel down to the prior pavement surface this week with the rain from Briarcrest to Harvey.

It's just getting worse and worse on Highway 30. We've replaced two windshields in the past 9 months. It sure seems like more rock/mud is getting tracked out of the landfill than it used to. Not sure if trucks just aren't using the "cattle guards" that are an attempt to knock mud off before getting to the highway or what.

But the introduction of the new oilfield waste site across from Twin Oaks landfill is horrible. Every time it rains they are tracking huge mounds of mud and rocks onto the road. I don't understand how it's legal for a site to come in like that and just trash the driving for everyone else.

I was north of Waco on I35 recently. Rocks EVERYWHERE. Everyone was getting hit. It was like a truck full of gravel must have been dropping stuff. I received several small hits all over my car
