My son is freshman engineering major. Currently living on campus and looking to move off campus. Although he and his roommates are conducting a search on their own, their search isn't necessarily grounded in reality so I want to educate myself.
I have recommended they look at apartments due to amenities and proximity to bus routes.
I've looked around a little, but it has only consisted of looking up properties that I recognize by name and location. So my searches haven't been very fruitful. We're looking at $700-800 per month budget if possible. Is an AgShacks type place accessible at that budget? Any apartment properties specifically I should look into?
I've heard good things about uCentre or the Rise, but it looks like we are priced out of those places. I don't really want him living in the places I lived when I was a student bc they weren't nice in the late 90s and they're even less nice now.
