Valley View and Texas (near 2818). Aggieland Cycling is there, now. They used to have bumper boats there, too, which were probably situated about where Donino's is, now.

I think the boats were open a handful of times
I remember doing them once, but that was the only time I ever remember them being operational.
There was even putput at manorbeast mall near movie theater for a time
I believe tom turbiville was original owner.

I had a couple birthday parties at that putt putt.
There was a putt putt golf place back in the 60's on 29th st. where Blinn is now. Pretty sure it was gone by the mid 70's.
I remember the bumper boats back circa 2000. They were the first to go--at some point it was drained for a skatepark...and ironically, the lighthouse in the center of the "lake" is one of the few remnants of Putt-Putt to survive to this day.FAT SEXY said:

Yep. Pooh's Park was at Texas Avenue South & Holleman. Currently there are Hobby Lobby, Champion Firearms, Ross, Twin Liquors, Bahama Buck's, etc.crbongos said:

Forgot about that place. It's been a minute. There was also a Sands Motel there and a doughnut shop. Don't know, but there is a miniature golf course at Big Shots in Bryan. It looked pretty cool, but we were there to do the driving range and it was 100F outside and there's no shade at all for itCaptn_Ag05 said:

We took our 2 year old to play on the course at Big Shots -- it was fun and you get to keep the ball at the end. It seemed like you could play multiple rounds as well, but being with a 2 year old, we were tapped out after one round.
The course location at Home Depot seems like a weird spot to put a sizable and fun course. I loved that the Putt Putt of the past had two courses.

Ya, I'm 59 now, but I still also remember hanging out at Pooh's Park back in the mid 70's. That go cart track they had is still one the best I have ever ridden on in my life. They were fast, and they would let you bump and bang, and not say anything about it, as long as there wasn't a serious wreck, and nobody got hurt, but that was life back in the 70's!trouble said:AG81 said:trouble said:
