Just for my curiosity (I'm a lolpoor and could never afford it) what would rent be like on a building of this size?

I've always fantasized about opening it up as the Hall Of Fame 2.0, but again, am poor.

Even the non-joke answers have no sense of scale when it comes to buildings. The Hall of Fame was a 22k square feet building, the current building is around 84k square feet. Without demolition (and demolition will realistically be small strip mall buildings similar to what's already there), it only makes sense as a large retail store.

The Hall opened when A&M was probably 20,000-25,000 students. We've tripled that now. So, the size is about right for the modern times.

My non-joke answer is an indoor karting facility. It's about the right size for that. Margins aren't high enough to sustain that lease, though.

Best spot for HOF 2.0 would be the old Academy location on HWY6. Ample parking, easy access and around 50k sqft of space

If it's still available after we finish our big fiber push in a couple of years, that is my hope/plan.

I love music and we need another great concert venue and dancehall.

If you are serious reach out to me before you buy/build anything.

I've worked in the entertainment industry my whole life. I could save you money or set you straight on what it takes to have a great live music venue.

Feel free to ask questions... HighSPL/at/G/mail/dot/com I'm sure you can figure that out! lol

That wasn't an old Albertson's, it only went up when I was in college.

If you remember when the building was built as a Randall's back in 1991, then "when I was in college" is a while ago by this point.
