I wish someone would buy that one and make it good again.

Appreciate you asking the question I've wondered myself over the last few months. And the answer is no.

Hate that the Rock Prairie/Wellborn place has gone to poop. Back in the day I used to use the one behind Wings N More but that one hasn't been decent in 10 years.

I pay the $19 a month at the auto one on Texas Ave near SW Pkwy and run through two or three times a month. Includes drying rags at vacuum stations. A few times when a went out on muddy county roads, I went through two times the same day.

At about $2 a visit, it's worth it to me.

Unless you have a really dark colored car, the new style washes don't mark like the old felt/cloth ones used to. You get no more swirling/scratching than you do using the manual brush at a bay wash. The big downside to the drive through ones is the acetone and other drying agents that yellow headlights and dull black trim.

Never have seen a scratch on my red pickup, but then again I don't put a microscope to it to see.

Drew's at Towerpoint has a touchless option.

You're assuming I keep a car more than a year or two. Bad assumption on your part.

I use the one at Wellborn and Deacon by Dunkin.

I have a convertible and have used the RP @ Wellborn for years. Agreed.....it has gone to crap and I refuse to put any more quarters in that place!!

I hear ya. I gave up. Bought a $99 power washer and a shop vac and do it all at home. I think I paid for both in the first year or so.
Trump will fix it.

Not in CS, but the car wash place on Boonville near the Goodwill does a pretty good job of keeping stuff stocked and working.

Wolf Pen Creek Carwash on Harvey does a pretty good job. Been happy each time we've gone.

I think the one at University and 6 does too. I might be wrong though, but thought I remembered seeing touchless bays.

Aggieland Express on Greens Prairie but it's not a true bay car wash.

This is actually a good option. Probably the only one left!

Guess we know why the wellborn/Rock prairie one was going to pot. Construction fence around it now and equipment removed. Am sure waiting for the dozers to arrive.

POS move by the owner of that car wash to continue to rip off customers until then moved to the next step.
If they are rebuilding a new car wash in that location I won't give them a dime unless it under new ownership.

That car wash should of closed months ago , equipment was deteriorating and they never refilled their soaps ect but remained open to squeeze every last cent they could out of unsuspecting customers.
Again chicken chit move

I saw that on Friday and thought about this thread. I guess we will see what happens.

Duckys on Texas in Bryan is usually well maintained.

There is one on Villa Maria near 2818 that looks newish

There is one for sale at MLK and Tx near downtown Bryan

The one at S. College and Villa Maria is not that nice.

There's one on Finfeather, but I can't vouch for its maintenance records.

Found this place over the weekend and it's solid. Not too many bells and whistles but that's probably a good thing. Good soap and water pressure but couldn't get the spot free rinse to work. Best part is that it only takes $1 to get machine going.

Drew's bought it 03/16/21. I don't know if they franchise, but the owner lives in Montgomery. Listed as Drew's #5 LLC.
