So question - is it better to get an ethanol free tier 2 gas or a 10% ethanol blend tier 1 gas?
UmustBKidding

depends on what you are running it in. Most people talking about non corn water on here are running it in lawn equipment. In those cases tier anything without alcohols that eat small hoses and diaphragms is better.

Remember ethanol free is just that, ethanol free, it doesn't mean there isn't different kind of alcohol in the blend. Some are truly alcohol free, just make sure you read the pump!

Putting food into a gas tank has never been good for lawn equipment or older cars.

My mechanic says ethanol free in all small gas engines
Generators. 4 wheelers. Go carts. Jet ski
And in two way gas cans the last month of the mowing years

He has also said get a jar of gas and a jar of ethanol and look at the difference after a day

Bump to see if there are any updates.

I am in Navasota. I know the Buccees in Waller has Ethanol free. I am thinking about going there. Getting it for my generator. Probably about the same distance as the Murphy's in Bryan.

How about Avgas - available at Coulter field - cant drive up but you could fill a container - not an expert on gas but I think it is ethanol free

fwiw I have ran this in every engine i have owned since 2008

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Star-brite-Star-Tron-8-oz-Gasoline-Fuel-Treatment-14308/202547626

generators, boats, jetskis, mowers, chainsaws, 4 wheeler, pressure washer, weed eaters, blowers and even autos and have never had an ethanol issue using it. It is sold at walmart, lowes, oreilly. I have let gas sit 18-24 months before and it still ran fine. I do only use 93 octane with it except in the autos as they are constantly being refueled.

AV Gas is 100ll "low lead". It's a deal if you don't have cats in your race car or boat. Not something you should run in a daily. They are taking the lead out at some point, I'm not sure we are there yet.
