Who Does Septic Maintenance?

So after 5 pumps in three years, I need a second opinion on what's going on with my septic system. Who are top folks in Brazos county?

The current maintenance guy (who installed it) has been very responsive to fix things (most of which has been under warranty), but that's just too many failures to keep on doing the same thing. When I ask him what the heck is going on, he shrugs he shoulders and says "they don't build things like they used to".

I've offered to pay extra to get whatever the Cadillac of septic pumps (ah, the joys of adulthood), but he says there's nothing better to be had. Maybe just another set of eyes is needed to diagnose what's going on.

We have used MacDougald out of Iola for 30 years. They are excellent.

I've heard nothing but good things about this one...

I assume we're talking about aerobic systems since your mentioning a pump? What does the current guy say is happening to the pumps? Could it be an electrical issue? Voltage drop due to undersized wiring? Just trying to help, not in the business.

Another vote for James Heath. Have been using him for 10+ years!

Yeah James is my current guy.

Again, he's been super responsive and he's always fun to chat with, but after 36+ hours without septic over the weekend and two pumps replaced in about a month, well... He doesn't know what's going on, and doesn't see a need to debug further. So it's time for a new set of eyes on the problem I guess.

Thanks all for the suggestions, I'll give them a call.

Yes. Aerobic. His response is literally a shoulder shrug and "they just don't make them like the used to."

Electrical is a possibility I thought of too. Was thinking about having my electrician look at it too. Thanks for the suggestion. I mean, it's not a rocket ship, I figure there are only so many possible points of failure.

We've been working with All American Septic for about 5 years and Jordan and his team have been great! They do the county required inspections for us and pick up the phone if we call.
