Slightly off topic, Is PCR testing so common that your average hospital lab has the capability? Or are we talking a university research lab?

I agree with your analysis that there is no way it should have taken this long to get test results.

I would love to be wrong but I think this delay in reporting means it is positive and they are already working on the contact chain. With overnight shipping available and a 4-6 hour PCR there is no logical reason for them to delay announcing a negative.

If it it positive this gives them time to present a timeline and plan to the public & health care workers.

I have an expert/friend from A&M that confirmed as much.

Said it is probably confirmed test, and they can't release it because they need to contact the the chain of people exposed...

If they released the results, people would scatter making things more difficult.

I saw a video of a guy in China selling face masks out of a random box. He almost got lynched when someone called him out for selling USED masks, possibly contaminated....

What a month and a half it has been!

I certainly began to change my habits and prepare after the first occurrence of testing here in Brazos County.

On a serious note, with today's positive confirmation...does anyone know the CDC protocol for the initial tests they ran?

Interesting we have been seeing stories about faulty tests and I wonder if this could have occurred here as well? I guess the more genomic information we get into the database, the more information we will have as a time line.

Crazy that it has taken 1.5 months to get another test in the books here?...considering out international population.
