As it is, I will not be coming in close contact with my baby out of an abundance of caution.
That's a prudent decision. I also have a 2 month old. I do everything I can to limit his exposure to all people.
There's no reason for anyone to speculate on the outcome of the tests though. That's the rumors I was referring to.
If he's positive and there's a chance you were exposed, you'll be notified.

What else are Internet forums good for?
In any case, while the rumors may create bad press nationally, if it's true then focus will turn the two airports and their bigger cities that were compromised, if it's false, we hear nothing of it.

no vaccine for the Wuhan novel coronavirus - so getting or skipping the flu shot would not matter in this case.

I'm aware of that. Those people buying masks have a much greater chance of being exposed to the flu than this coronavirus.
Does Brazos County have the status of the subject from China and is not releasing it until Monday?

Considering our campus has 1778 students from China and they have quarantined 45 million people of there( think the population of Texas) ...I would like to know the results of the test that the county stated, in their presser, would take 24 hours.
I am following their timeline.
One of my Grad students is from Wuhan China. Luckily, he didn't go home for the holidays.
Although, this could be bigger than us.

Once the sample is prepared at CDC, the time it takes to actually do the test is four to six hours which is a very typical time for a real-time PCR. The student went to the hospital Wednesday night. Hopefully they sent the sample out Thursday, but i don't think I have read it anywhere.
