Enjoyed Mo's a few weeks ago. Saw the parking patrol taking a break and eating there. We figured as long as they were there we were safe.

A few times in the last week we've talked about going back but have ended up at different restaurants due to parking.

Was thinking about going to see the Astros World Series trophy, but when I heard it was at The George, I decided to pass.

It will also be at Bluebell Park and the Bush Museum tomorrow I believe.

We got a reminder Sunday while eating at Mo's and watching the soccer game. Liked the atmosphere but if that had been metered we would have been screwed because it went extra time and penalty kicks. I don't wanna run back to a meter to add time or think about rushing to finish a meal if I am paying more upscale prices.

From what I saw on the news it didn't keep people away.

Again, if you can't afford a couple of bucks this area is not for you. I also heard The George was very crowded. It's high end as are several of the restaurants. If you are dropping a buck and a half for dinner and drinks for two parking fees don't enter the equation. May be their way of keeping the place from being overcrowded. Whatever the case it's quite crowded most of the time.

Not riding in a uber black to century square like the adults.

For me it has nothing to do with money. The places there are already upscale, so a couple of bucks will make less than a 5% difference when I visit.

I don't want to have to know their fee schedule based on hours and location, choose the lot based on how long I want to stay, memorize my license plate, walk to a meter, wait in line, punch in my license plate, commit to how long I want to stay, fiddle with a credit card, walk back to my car to place the paper on the dash, remember what time I arrived, and constantly check my phone to make sure I'm not going to go over my original decision, and if I want to, walk all over creation to stay an extra 10 minutes.

There are lots of ways to implement paid parking that are less burdensome on patrons. They chose the worst model. I'm sure I will go back occasionally when circumstances outweigh the hassle, but not often. Instead, I will visit one of the many, many, fine establishments where I park and walk in, or even Northgate, which has multiple less burdensome paid parking options available, and won't tow my car if a slip of paper falls off my dashboard.

The Northgate/campus meters are great....all spots are marked with a number, memorize that and plug it into the system. You can even input your phone number and they will send you a text asking if you want/need to extend your time.

It's such a hassle to figure out WHERE to pay. I enjoy much of Century Square, but when they've made it difficult to pay, it just isn't worth it.

Park somewhere free where your car won't get towed, use uber to get to century square and back.

The where to pay question is one of the main issues I have. It is not at all well marked, so how would an out-of-towner or new student know they need to pay?

I could easily imagine a scenario where a person new to our area just drives up to eat at zoe's and doesn't even notice the kiosk. Is it reasonable to tow them? Is there signage near parking spots or entrances that I haven't noticed?
