We got snow twice in January and February 1973. At least in Bellville.
If studioone is posting about some thing you know the worst possible outcome will occur. In this case, we won't get any snow.
As an actual Yankee from Maine, who shuttles between New England and Chicago this time of the year, I find threads like this...amusing.
Are you knitting individual sweaters and tiny scarves for your dainty bees, studio? Wouldn't want them to get the bee sniffles.

I wonder why he addresses Yankees. Most of us know how to drive in snowy/icy conditions.

Yankees aren't the problem. Is the rate mix of locals, City kids from the Houston race tracks, farm kids and Asian women that makes driving here dangerous. (Did I leave anyone out?) Now you throw snow in the mix. I think he's telling the Yankee to be careful and avoid everyone else.

Light snow in Steep Hollow area

We flew into Austin this afternoon and there was a light dusting of snow on the landscape features. It was wet but never slick coming home, (ranged from 32 to 34 degrees, but mostly hung out at 32) however, ice did form on the windshield where the wipers didn't touch.
Light snow in Quail Run. Sticking on patio chairs.

This. I blew by someone on 6 around 5:45 this evening as they putted at 50ish in the passing lane. They were at least 70 years of age.

ok.. THREE times in the same winter? What happened to global warming?
watch out for tuesday... the high of 44 on tuesday is at midnight... then proceeds to go rapidly downhill for the rest of the day..
and according to wunderground.com, there's a 45 % chance of snowy weather around noon... Hope its as snowy as the first time, if not more... and that it'll last...
Came back from a month away to find my landscaping a near total loss. Unfortunately few nice looking plants can cope with searing heat and Arctic blasts.
