Yeah I've been to about half of those, still wanting to try more of them. I really enjoy harvey washbangers and grub as well. But for me, for the price/portions i like Koppe

One thing Koppe Bridge has that a lot of other places don't is a good chicken-fried steak sandwich. I wish there were more of those around town. Koppe Bridge and Chicken Oil are the two that come to mind right now.

Not at all actually! Just really wanted to see if he could name 12 burger locations! Just becuase I don't agree with others on this list doesn't mean I'm a bad guy. I was just curious.
Getting offended on an internet site is kinda silly, dont you think? We all have our opinions. Doesn't mean im right or wrong, nor does it make any of us right or wrong.

There is no right or wrong. It's a matter of taste. My mother used to eat a hamburger with just half the bun and meat with a miniscule of mustard and ate it with a fork and loved it. To her, it was the best burger there is.

To me, a burger has to be somewhat thick, somewhat juicy and on a toasted bun. That's the baseline for good. That is why burgers like Whataburger are good but not great....the meat is to thin and too dry.

The Negative Nannies here have savaged another restaurant! How do these places stay in business when these important culinary opinions are turned against them?

I asked that when Grub opened and it was savaged for being "kinda expensive for this town." And yet...

kinda expensive is not "savaging."

Oh that was just the first salvo. Soon thereafter came "can't see it from the road," "milkshakes are too small," "menu too frou frou," "authoritarian seating policy," and of course my favorite of all "terrible value compared to Sonic."

Flash forward to packed out constantly and spreading across the country.

And to give Koppe it's due, they obviously are doing something right because they are surviving and packed out regularly too.

Good, maybe all these negative posts will make it less crowded for those of us that love Koppe Bridge. Not likely.

Ate for the first time at SmittyK's tonight. Solid juicy burger on a Jalapeno bun. Good onion rings and FF's. Good atmosphere.

Will be back.

To be fair, most places have terrible value to Sonic. I mean you got happy hour, half price shakes after 8, etc. etc. Hard to beat.
FlyRod

The best value, believe me! Sonic is bigly!

Best value is Fuddrucker's. All the mayo and lettuce I can eat. It's like a salad bar! Much better than Sonic because my car doesn't smell like grease afterward.

Best value is what you are prepared to spend for something you enjoy. I have yet to encounter an *overpriced* burger around here. It's not like this is NYC or LA...

There was a very silly thread here a while back (possibly started by C Mac) where folks were opining that no burger should be more than $7. It made me chuckle.

Someone mentioning the CFS sandwich reminded me of Burger Boy. I lived across the street from them for years, and I ordered from them at LEAST once a week. LOVED that place. They had a cheeseburger, Mexican Burger, and the CFS sandwich was awesome. I miss that place so much!

Please, name a dozen other burger joints in town better than Koppe Bridge. I'll wait
In no particular order...

Burger House
Margies
Mickeys
Top of the Hill
Feed Barn
Shipwreck
Proudest Monkey
Maddens
Harvey Washbangers
Veritas
Fuddruckers
Smitty Ks
Benchley Grill
Joe's Place
And if you're up for a short drive, Edge General Store

I realize you only asked for a dozen, but math isn't my strong suit.

You can add Corner Bar and Carney's to that list

This place has gone down hill. At one time, I would have said hands down best burger in town. However, after the last time, their burger was quite different from how I remembered it. The wife agreed too. I'm pretty sure they've either switcher vendors for their meat patties or using a different beef/fat content percentage. The last one I had was quite lean.

I was craving a burger the other night, so I went to Koppe on Welborn. It ain't what it use to be. I had the half lb burger, onion rings, and a water. It was $18.39.

The rings were sad, the burger was ok (not as good as it was back in the day), but nothing to write home about.

Koppe has a one pound burger? Damn, I can barely squeeze down a 1/3 pounder.

Probably 4 years ago I had two visits in a row at the 30 location with a cold piece of cheese and a cold bun. Never been back. Too many better options.

I like the burgers. Only place I know of where fries come with burger. You can tell them cut the fries, but the price is the same.

I agree with previous 2017 posters on this thread that you shouldn't be expecting the best fried/baked fish at a burger place.
I voted for this because I like Mean Tweets!

Great burgers... I just can't stand their fries... always soggy and limp and taste burnt.... fries should be crisp...

I never had onion rings from Koppe Bridge. are they made from scratch, or nasty frozen ones from a bag like Sonic, Burger King, etc.

Frozen. And there weren't many of them.

I have quit going there unless the people I am with want to. The food is average at best, but the two things that stopped me from going is, one, you cannot buy the chicken sandwich by itself and I try to minimize my fries, and two, they won't substitute for them with onion rings. I even offered to pay a small extra fee, but nope. "you can order onion rings, but it will be a regular order...no subs. The sandwich comes with fries."

The oil not hot enough so it fries too long.

Koppe Bridge's fried okra > onion rings > fries

Was there last night before the game. Burger was great. Fries were great. Not sure why anyone would order fish there.

The BCS burger scene has kind of evolved far beyond Koppe.

Also I'm going to use this opportunity to shill for Cmac's burger truck on Barron Rd. Had a cheeseburger there the other day that made me almost reconsider putting Top of the Hill in first place.
