I have over a foot of water in my backyard and I'm on top of a damn hill. Tornado just missed me and family with not even a watch til after it was on the ground.

Yep, the tornado warning popped up on my phone about the time the tornado was finishing tearing up Wheeler Ridge. Seems like everyone missed it until it was all but over.

Getting home from Hempstead was an adventure this afternoon. Left there around 3:15 pm, and 15 minutes later I had to pull off the road on the southern edge of Navasota on Hwy 6... zero visibility, as dark as it is around 9 pm, with driving rain and high winds. I wasn't alone -- numerous semi trucks, pickups, and cars all chose to sit it out for a while on the side of the road. Finally continued the trip, albeit at a lower than normal speed. Finally got home (Copperfield, via Miramont). I have friends in Wheeler Ridge, and it's a mess from what I have heard.

A lady near us said she has lived on Burton Creek by Tanglewood Park since 1978 an this is the highest she's ever seen the creek.
We found a room at the Hawthorn Suites on University. Family and I were just passing through on our way back to Fort Worth from Galveston after a cruise. Hope the road's are better heading north tomorrow morning.

I am at 7.25" since about 10:00 am in Copperfield.

Too much storm damage and electricity outages are affecting schools.
CSHS Baseball Team had to get a hotel in Houston because they couldnt make it back this way. Crazy.
Isn't it supposed to be worse tomorrow?
Can it actually be worse? Although more of the same will be worse because there's no place for the water to go. It is unreal in Brenham. Not sure I'm going to get home tomorrow.

It's been hard non-stop rain in CS since about 1130. According to KBTX doesn't look like its letting up any time soon.
Doesn't help that my phone keeps buzzing every 10 minutes to tell me we are a flood hazard warning. I get it. Don't buzz unless I need to take cover. I have work in the morning.
