They opened right at the beginning of 2015. We have been going often (sometimes too often) since then. Their food is awesome. I don't know how it went so unappreciated here. They are great people who really wanted to bring their restaurant home (here) with them.

Great place from what I've heard. We always said "we should check it out" but never got around to it. Location, location, location.
Wasn't an ideal spot, but we drove from south CS regularly. It was worth it. They were always busy. Service was hit and miss, but we overlooked it bc of the quality. Really hate to see it go.

They actually did and brought out a lot of local talent every Saturday night. It was discussed on here at length...
They posted it on their Facebook page as well. Couple of people asked but no response as to why.
Agree. Location killed them. We have said we wanted to try it for months but when it comes down to it we forgot it or we choose more convenient locations.

The best prime rib in town bar none! ANY meal I had there was perfect and delicious. They will be sadly missed.

So happy to finally get a decent breakfast place in this town. Been a long time coming (years since closing of Deluxe), and can't wait to try them as its so close to home.
Buffalo Wild Wings has re-opened after a fairly substantial renovation. A bit too generic, although some of the redesign is quite nice. No big tables in the bar area although some could be combined. The bar top is now a dirty gray Formica like product. Strangest touch of all though, is the fabric chosen for the barstool cushions and the booth cushions. It's a dusky orange almost turning toward burnt orange!!! Why not maroon, or black or yellow to go with the corporate colors? Odd, odd choice for College Station.
Went to First Watch this morning, 100x would go again, very very good.

I always avoid restaurants based on upholstery choices.

At First Watch and it's a game changer. Fantastic menu, great coffee, and attentive service.
Staff are a little over-eager. For better or worse depending on your tastes, this is not the same food you'd get at places like Hullabaloo, Cracker Barrel, IHOP, etc. Maybe closer to The Village, but way more selections.

First Watch is pretty good. My youngest little w8liftr ranks it above IHOP, which is saying something. The portion sizes are good, not too big nor too little. The Chickichanga (?) was awesome. Mrs. W8liftr had the Bacado which was great as well. Hers had a side salad with a great balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Good coffee, water left at the table in an old glass quart milk bottle for us to refill our glasses.
We're looking forward to going back. Though we wish they had dinner service to make our return trip easier to schedule.

This. I only eat breakfast for dinner, so I'm disappointed I won't get to try this place.
Had First Watch for lunch today and it was very, very good. Generous sized portions. Maybe a tad on the pricey side, but was worth it.
I thought that the price was reasonable.
Wife did find hair in her sandwich and on her plate under her salad. Meal was comped. Manager was very helpful.

This may have already been discussed, but anyone know what is going in at Towerpoint where the massive amount of dirt is being moved around? Hoping for something of an anchor store instead of more strip centers...
