So would you say Detriot and College Station are equally safe?
quote:Glad this ended well. So, were these two related?
Not sure but it appears to be tied to a scene out in the county off OSR involving a pretty massive man hunt.
Pure speculation: Robbery last night (hopefully not involving a shooting but the massive response seems to indicate this) then pursuit out to OSR with suspect ditching vehicle and taking off on foot. Sounds like dogs and helicopters getting involved.

HASLET Fort Worth police found and rescued a man who had been kidnapped from a College Station convenience store in the early hours of Tuesday.
Police and Texas Rangers apprehended a suspect identified as 36-year-old Nathaniel Tillery outside a residence in the 14200 block of Tijuana Trail in Haslet just before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim, 55-year-old Kevin Garcia, was found in the bed of his stolen pickup truck. Neighbors on Tijuana Trail said he appeared to be bloodied and battered, and "didn't look good at all."
Garcia, a clerk at the College Station convenience store, was taken to a local hospital for his injuries. Medstar confirmed he was taken to JPS in Fort Worth.
The incident played out in front of the home of Tillery's stepbrother, and he was the one who called 911 after seeing the pickup truck.
The man wouldn't give his name but said he wasn't close with Tillery, and that he didn't believe Tillery knew Garcia.
"I don't think so, no," he said.
College Station police detectives were on their way to Tarrant County to interview the suspect.
quote:Here's a GoFundMe for him. You think I should increase it to 50k? I didn't want to do anything crazy, but $50k for him would be incredible.
Let's get a gofundme site going for the guy.
Set goal for about $50K.
4 week time frame.
quote:Good idea. I increased it to $25k, but anything after that will continue to be accepted by Gofundme for his recovery. Luckily it doesn't cut you off at your goal.
If you can increase, please do. AT least 20,000 would be substantial. He might not even know that he is in a hospital.
