Stupe, there is an address lookup feature under the bus route information. I'll grant you, that might not be the first place I would think of looking for attendance zones. But if you go the the "Parent Info" section on the CSISD website, then choose "Transportation", and then "Bus Stop Information", you can type in an address, and it will show you the school that that address is zoned to for the current year.
quote:Do not worry, I enjoy a good conversation and like to bring up examples. I do not feel like you are anti-public schools. But to continue what you are saying, concerning the parents, they do need to speak up, and there are parents that do speak up. Unfortunately, many of them speak by moving away from schools with bad raps, choosing to not fight it. I'm not saying that is the best thing, but facts are facts.
Please forgive me if my private school defense gave the impression that I am anti- public school. I am extremely pro public school and do what I can to further its importance. I guess I became part of the problem and opted for private school.
I agree that BISD gets an undeserved bad rap. The teachers are exceptional, they offer the same programs and facilities but because most of the schools are in diverse economic deficient areas the schools are perceived as "lacking". I wish more happy BISD parents would speak up to dispel the myth that the world ends and begins with South CS schools.
Stupe- If I remember correctly from another thread, mwesson literally did draw the map and posted impassioned arguments defending it.
