Your delay could very well benefit you very well depending on your needs. To my knowledge there have never been data caps on commercial/business accounts. If you need business service or have other questions I can help you with that. I will definitely confirm the data caps on business accounts though tomorrow (Friday) and let you know to be 100% sure.

Not sure if I can send you a PM or not... I can confirm that business accounts do not have data caps including the new ones. There is push to keep business accounts unlimited. As far as speeds, the business side is dropping 2 of the 5 current offerings and will now have 3 speed packages for new customers. Existing customers should be phased into their new speed package depending on their current speed sometime first quarter, but is looking around probably January is what I am hoping for to help on some of my customers.

If you do not want to go thru the call center to get new service, I am in town and can get you setup on Suddenlink. I do have the new info for speeds but since it has not been fully published yet I do not want to put it on here and get in trouble.

If you buy a modem from somewhere other than SuddenLink you will need to call customer service to get it set up. No matter how much they tell you they don't need the MAC address and serial number, they do. Then they need to swap your new for your old. An hour and a half of my Friday night...

Good news is the new speeds work, 51.5 down and 5.5 up.

FYI, your bill will go up about 20 bucks in a month or two. They will call it an increase in maintenance fees to maintain their network. All apart of their plan to make you upgrade to higher speed.

My speed goes down to about 2 mbps with the new modem. The old one is about 28. Not sure why.

Just called them. They had mailed me the modem, but they neglected to enter the serial number into the system and tie it to my account. All good now.
