Bought out who ever owns Tomball Ford.

I don't trust any car dealers local around here. I go to Houston or Austin to buy cars. That includes the guy in Caldwell who claims he'll beat anyone's price. Newsflash - He won't. If I can save $3-4k by driving, It's worth the drive.

I have always been treated fairly by Allen Honda. That being said, i dont trust American car makers period.

I've lived in B/CS for about 10 years and as long as I've been here, the reputation of Varsity Ford was that their Sales department is not competitive at all and that their service department is terrible. Based on that rep I didn't even give them a look on my F250. Drove straight to Navasota.

I hope the new owners read all this feedback and make some changes. There should be no reason they can't compete as the only Ford dealer in B/CS and we would all benefit if they can get their sh*t together.

I tried to give them a chance a couple weeks ago, but they were super aggressive and wouldn't even tell me what my trade was worth and kept trying to steer me to a higher package on an F-250 than I wanted. Ended up making a trip to Austin and then Katy and bought my truck in Katy. I will say they did take care of me with my old Truck at the service dept, but sales is a whole different deal

Got a great deal on our new vehicle at CS Ford about a year ago. I've tried to buy vehicles from them before and could never get a good price. However, their service dept. has always treated us well and done good work.

I have tried three times to buy a Ford at Varsity/College Station Ford. All three times they treated me like I was an idiot and over charged by thousands (7k on my pickup).

Dealt with Sykora Family Ford back home and now have bought three excellent vehicles from them and great customer service. I'm sticking with Sykora from now on even though it's 90 miles away. Well worth it.

I'll probably try them again in a few years, but I've purchased two vehicles in the past two years from others because there has not been significant change there. MEH.

The name change alone is what stops me from doing business with them.

I was going to say that you're dumb...but then I remembered that the same owner bought Garlyn and renamed it Brazos Valley Imports instead of Bryan Imports. So I'll have to agree with your reasoning. Seems that the ownership is actually worse then before. I bought my truck from Varsity and my wife's car from College Station Ford. I liked Varsity and will never spend another dime with these idiots.

I can't take credit for any reasoning. And no I would not name it Bryan BMW. But I don't like the name College Station Ford. I live in and love Bryan. When they named it College Station Ford instead of Acme or John Doe Ford they excluded me because I live in Bryan. So I will go somewhere else and not buy a Fix Or Repair Daily car.

That's about one of the stupidest things I've ever read. I am a proud Bryanite, but the dealership is in College Station, so why not call it College Station Ford? I do not feel "excluded" in the least.

I'm 100% Bryan as well. And if my house was on fire. And I had to have a fire truck from college station? I wouldn't object. Who cares?

Depending on where you live CSFD is likely to respond. Station 6 sends resources into Bryan all the time due to mutual aid agreements. It's all about having the best and quickest services available.

And I respect your rights to feel that way. I do feel excluded when they change the name from Varsity Ford to College Station Ford. As to fire trucks, I don't care where they come from. Just put out the fire. I don't really have a choice in it. But I can choose where I live and buy my cars. I bought a car in College Station recently but not from College Station Ford.

I understand being from Bryan and being proud of it. When I moved back here I refused to buy a house in College Station out of principle. That being said, I completely understand the move to using the College Station name. First and foremost, they are in College Station. Second, when people on the net are searching, etc. College Station has 100x the search results and name recognition. Every day in my business someone asks me where we are located. I say Bryan, TX and I usually hear "where is that?" I say next to College Station where Texas A&M is and they get it.

College Station Ford is expanding and going for the "big city model" of stack it deep and sell it cheap with plans to have 800+ cars on the lot. They are banking on people coming from the metroplex, Houston, etc. College Station has far more name recognition than calling it Bryan Ford or Bob's Ford. You may not like it, but that does not mean they made a poor business decision.

You are absolutely correct. For the reasons you stated the name change probably gained them more business than they lost. As a matter of fact, the name change may have only cost them one customer.

The BMW dealership in town is just as bad or worse!!! To the point that we ended up going to Houston to purchase my wife's car. I stopped buying bmw's a while back because got fed up with the idiots at the dealership here in town, worse dealership by a mile!!

We tried going American with our cars but decided not to because the quality flat out sucks!
