200,000 coming into town for the game. No.

I heard it's going to be closer to 300,000. Not counting women and children.

Half a million people coming into town for the game. At least. SEC, baby.

Good grief. This is a four day event. The game lasts a few hours. I guess some people limit themselves to only one fun thing per weekend.

The family and I will be there.

Honestly, if you tailgate, Aggie Football is an all-day event, and most of us are too worn out after an entire day in the heat to do anything that evening.

yeah, yeah "you're a wuss." whatevs.

I heard from a very reliable source that all the Florida people are planning on going to the BV Fair after the game.

LOL OK. Well there's still Wednesday night through Sunday to go to the Expo if you're too tired for gameday.

There's a coupon in The Eagle today for $5 off a wristband - pretty good deal.

Went to the Free carnival preview last night.
Pretty good setup and lots of fun.

Saturday a strong cold front will come through dropping temperatures substantially in the evening. Will be a good time to check everything or wait till Sunday afternoon when the high won't even hit 90.

Definitely going on Sunday - with the weather change it should be awesome!

That said, this is a much-needed event for Brazos Co., so I hope this it's successful. Very smart to have it on a game day weekend. There will be tons of folks coming in for ESPN GameDay and for the game itself, so I hope they turn a hefty profit.

There MAY be 150,000 people total here for the game. That's approx. 90,000 actually in the stadium and another 60,000 outside tailgating and partying. That's above average for even the most highly anticipated SEC game, and it isn't a bowl game or anything. I bet we'll see 25k come from Florida and the hinterlands, but the rest will be the Aggie faithful who have been at every game for 25 years.

Just to follow-up, I would've been a lot happier if last night's concert hadn't started an hour earlier than advertised. They lost a whole lot of their crowd with 40 minutes of down-time between bands.

I heard they are doing an admission charge and selling $25 wristbands for rides but not sellin individual tickets if someone just wants to ride a few rides. Is that true? If so, I think I'll just wait for the state fair instead. Unlimited rides are cool for high school and college kids if they can afford it, but for little kids and grown-ups, it's nice to have the option to just get the tickets you want.

We went last night and took our daughter. We all had a great time and you can buy individual ride tickets. They are $1 each and more rides were 3 tickets per person. Make sure you bring cash though, the ticket booths do not take credit cards.

Took the kids last night. Had a real good time. The rodeo arena is gorgeous. Puts my hometown arena to shame. The rodeo was alot of fun, kids enjoyed it. If you go, try Uncle Rays stuffed peppers. 2 for $5 and they are soooo gooood! I will say the layout is a bit weird but the carnival is clean and carneys were not too pushy. If you have kids splurge $8 for them to get in a blow up ball in the water pool. Best ride of the carnival (its by the food vendors)

I guess we're out of the loop because I didn't know about it either until I saw signs along 2818. With cooler weather blowing in, I might just take the two little ones over to check it out. Haven't been to a fair in a long while.

We had a great time today! Will go back next year if they continue with it. Not much traffic during the game which was great.

The guy doing the ball in the water said it was $6. Maybe they lowered the price or it could have been a special price for me

We went today and had a lot of fun. Was about 1-3 pm and wasn't crowded at all despite beautiful weather. I hope they made some good $ because I'd love to see it every year. Anyone know how to find out if it was a success financially?
