According to an old Sanborn fire insurance map of campus I have, it looks like the ramp on the first floor (you know, when going south, ramp is going down, the food court on your right, Flag Room on your left, and bookstore straight ahead, I believe this was the pre-renovation configuration as well, there was a bowling alley on the first floor where the bookstore would be. Supposedly the original bowling alley was here, at the bottom of the ramp. But the history says that the bowling alley was expanded in the 1970s and moved in the 1990s to the basement, presumably for the 12th Man Int. Food Court, which is now the main dining area with Ciao, Smokin', Pile On, etc. (Hullabaloo was in the basement, right?).
