I'm looking for a new lawyer in College Station or Bryan. The lawyer I hired charged me a lot of money and hasn't done crap. He keeps wanting me to take a deal that I don't want. Im sure he hasn't done any work on my case. Who would ya'll suggest?

Lawyers specialize in different things. May be helpful if you state what you have been accused of doing.
In criminal cases, there may not be alot of "work" to do on the case. Most of us can evaluate a case rather quickly by reading the probable cause statement, police reports, witness statements, viewing videos and audios(if any) and discussing the facts of the case with the prosecutor and client. If he/she has obtained an offer(deal) from the prosecutor, then that work has probably already been done.
I would not post anything about your case here because it is the same as talking about your case which can be used against you in court.
You will get some very good recommendations on this forum though. Every month or so, this question is asked. You could look back over older threads for recommendations. I don't remember seeing any bad criminal lawyers mentioned.(IMHO)

If it were me, I'd go with Earl Gray, Jay Granberry, or Shane Phelps.
All three used to be in the DA's office and all of them understand the system.
BTW: keep in mind that your attorney may be pushing you to take a deal because depending on what you've been accused of and what evidence is against you, you have a snowball's chance in the Sahara of actually getting off with no punishment.

Shane Phelps is an experienced criminal law attorney -- 20+ years as a prosecutor and defense attorney. He takes the time to review cases and isn't afraid to go to trial. He doesn't try to get clients to take a deal to save himself some work.

Who are the attorneys that don't do much that you guys are aware of. I'd be intersted if my attorney is known for that.
As far as what I'm charged with, I was given a DUI in front of my house. I was drinking at home and went to get something out of my car, the cops pulled up behind me. I explained I wasn't driving and had been at home all night.

I agree that the defense attorney should not rely on what is provided by the police, but often that is all there is. It is hard to pull a rabbit out of a hat when you don't even have a hat.

There is no lawyer by the name of Saul Goodman anywhere in the Brazos Valley.
Keep in mind that sometimes, in some cases, there is only so much an attorney can do for you. Sometimes "taking the deal" is your best/only option. If you want to fight it, that's your right but sometimes not taking the deal, and what you wind up with is worse in the long rung.
I'd recommend Murray Mewman of Newman & Flood.
I looked at the link on Saul Goodman. He may exist but does not practice in Brazos County, Tx.
