When checking internet agencies that appear:
Manpower
Spherion
Link Staffing
SOS Staffing
Kelly
Labor Ready

I would very much appreciate feedback about experiences as either the worker or the hiring client on these or others. In particular what kinds of positions they handle; treatment of employees; quality of screening/matching needs for employer clients; etc.

Thank you~

Spherion and Kelly. The rest can't even begin to compare. Spherion is definitely the most professional and reputable. Companies like Dell and Samsung have used them for years.

I did a job for Kelly last year that will likely turn into something permanent, which is great because I LOVED THAT JOB. The folks that work here in the Bryan office are VERY good, and ridiculously friendly, especially Rhonda!

Appreciate the feedback, especially the reference for Rhonda in the local office.

There is another temp staffing place that's just getting started in this area.

Tier1 Personnel-979-218-8446. They are out of Houston and are in the process of opening a local office. I know the Account Manager, Jim Carroll, personally. He's a local guy who used to be with First National before they sold out.

I wish you all the best. I really and truly do.

In three [ul]years[/ul] not one of those referred me to a job. With spherion, kelly, and manpower, I had to go on their web pages to find jobs to apply for, and not one of those was actually matched to my knowledge.

From talking to other people, you need to fir stereotypes far too closely. Women seemed to be preferred for "office work" overall. Or, you need a clear specialty, like being a CPA, or LVN or the like, to get repeated placements.

What you clearly did not want to be was male and 50, with 30 years' work experience.

I haven't had luck with them either.... I guess I didn't pass their tests. One time will staff worldwide called me to work in a call center. Um no thanks. That was after I specifically told them i was not interested in call centers. I'm not a good fit. Why would i work someplace that I'm not a good fit?

I had good experiences with both Willstaff and Kelly. The people at both places were helpful and did their job.
