You guys have all made me slobbery and seriously sad that they don't serve anything but beef dogs so I won't be able to partake. Please, someone, for the love of all that is good, eat one for me!

Went for lunch today and place was packed...very very good. Had a chicago dog and a build own with BBQ sauce, cheese, and pico. Outstanding
Will definatly be a place I frequent.
And agree with the guy that mentioned their A&M logo on the wall being the non bevel logo...like that alot

At 11:45 the line was about 10-12 people deep and it stayed long the whole time I was there.

The good thing is the owner was making the orders in the back and he was keeping up really well with the crowd. I was only seated about 2-3 minutes before my order was ready.

The poor girl behind the counter looked shocked at the amount of business.

Hey, when you have a good product and there's a 3-page-long positive thread about you on Texags you have to expect good things!

I took the kids there tonight. It was pretty good. I was left wanting more, I hope they'll be able to add fries soon.

I took my kids to harolds last night and they LOVED it. We had chili dogs and chicago dogs and they were great. I was worried before we went because i took them to sonic for hotdogs last year and the kids didnt like or even finish them or as my youngest said "sonic hotdogs are straight nasty". We had a great time at harolds its a long drive for us but we will be back

"Good fast food" and Sonic do not belong in the same sentence.

I am not even sure "good" and "fast food" belong together unless you are referencing Chick fil-A.

Finally made it to Harold's today. The Chicago dogs are the real deal...the sport peppers, the celery salt, the weird green relish. Buns were just a little stale, but oh well. They were good. Real good. Yup, a little pricey, even pricier then one would find in Chicago. Unlike Chicago there is no hot dog competition here in BCS, so the pricing makes a little more sense.

Yeah, given the number of posts on this thread, I looked around wondering which other myBCSers were there while I was. Probably half-a-dozen of y'all.



The dogs were really good. I hear you about the buns not being perfect. But they were still more than acceptable, to me. And I agree that the toppings on the Chicago dog were spot on.

It seems like they're working on some space in the back to be able to do fries. The people said there that they hope to have a solution in a week or two. When they get it, I will be stoked. I hope that they have the good sense to only do hand-cut fries, not some crud from a Sysco bag. We shall see. But so far, it's very promising.

Made it out there for lunch today.

Chicago dog was awesome, exactly what I hoped for and expected. I should have upgraded to the jumbo dog but that's ok.

I did go jumbo for the chili, cheese, and onion dog. Good stuff.

Both dogs, drink, back of chips rang me up at $10.41. It's a premium dog for sure, but the taste is what you'd expect for the price.

My only grip is that they use pepsi products but the Diet Dr. Pepper was a viable alternative.

Yeah...Diet, totally cancels out 2 dogs.

Now Tradishun...there's nothing wrong with a sysco bag.

This was my dinner tonight. Considering I only spent a few dollars, it was definitely worth it! Very good!

Went to Harolds again today for lunch because we couldn't get the yummy Chicago dogs out of our heads. So good!! The service was excellent as well. One of our new favorite places for sure!

Is that the Southwest Dog? Looks great. Also, did I read correctly that all the dogs can be made "jumbo size"?

That's the Southwest dog with extra onions. And yes, there is a delicious meaty hot dog under there that can be jumbo sized for $1 more!

Southwest dog and Chicago do are awesome. I was still hungry after two dogs and chips. Maybe I'll make them jumbo for 1 dollar more next time. Place is going to do well. High quality and consistency will get them far.

I've had a shake and a malt for desert. A little pricey, but they were good!

I have been a couple of times now with the wife and we both enjoy the food! It is nice to have a hot dog place that serves a good quality product. We also enjoy the ice cream offered as it is excellent as well! I do hope that they are able to figure out a way to make fried foods...would love to have their chili/cheese on a basket of fries!

My girlfriend and I have been there several times. If you just get a hot dog and a drink you aren't spending that much.

The ice cream is the more expensive product, but damn its good. I got a shake made using the cake batter ice cream and it was worth the $4. Although I can't afford that very often, it is just as good as the other frozen yogurt places around town.

The owner needs to embrace facebook/yelp/twitter more. Very few students even know it exists and having a complete facebook page would go a long way to boost visibility. Just my 2 cents!

Thanks to this thread the wife and kids and I tried this place out tonight. Very impressed. We will be back. Stover sauce would make those hot dogs perfect hehe.

I had a Harold's chocolate shake today and it was awesome.

Very cool to see a new place get such positive reviews on here. It must be truly great. Can't wait to try it.

Took the family and my Godfather there yesterday for the first time. The dogs came out and my first impression was "hmmm, this look just like Sonic, how could they taste any different?" and sure enough, they DID taste awesome.

Best dogs I ever ate! Great job Harold's!

Are these natural-casing or skinless hotdogs?

I know Vienna Beef makes both kinds, but I do love the snap of the natural casing!
