I sure hope this rain is helping the firefighters snuff out that nasty fire! Its great that we are getting rain, but they sure needed a good soaking out there!

The storm awakened me about 3 o'clock this morning. I was so excited that I never did go back to sleep...and no complaints whatsoever. It's wonderful. Keep it coming for us and the folks in Grimes and Walker counties.

2 1/2 inches so far and it is still raining. We are between Navasota and Brenham (closer to Brenham), just off 105.

All my horses can get to their stalls and were in them when I came down to the barn to feed. But they are all wet so stood out in the pouring rain at some point. Silly creatures.

Bonus is that it is also cool! What a great morning.

A&B, My friend's and my yorkies both born in October - never having heard thunder responded by curling up in shaking balls on my lap the first time they heard it, which was only a short time ago. They behaved the same way last night. So, at least they're snuggly dogs.

Nana, that will only provide Adam with lots of repeat business.
