yes, they have some terriyaki options. I believe there are chicken and steak options. I too am not a huge sushi fan. But I have learned what I like and how to order it so I enjoy it. I only get rolls with cooked meat, or tempura rolls. I personally don't like the seaweed flavor. Gives me the gag reflex, and its all I taste at the end. So I order rolls wrapped with soy paper instead. Then I get the flavor of the fillings and not the seaweed. Maybe I am a sushi wuss, but that's how I "roll".
I'm hoping that the chicken teriyaki bento box will be OK for him - but I worry that since it also comes with a little bit of sushi and something else there won't be as much meat and might not be a full meal ... we'll find out soon!
Should be enough food. The Gyoza is the fried pork dumpling. Very good. Plus the rice and chicken. When I got the steak, it was a decent amount of food. Not sure, but you could ask if they will sub something for the cali rolls. I don't think they will do them with the soy paper on the bento boxes since you are only getting a couple pieces. They may sub some edamame for them, seems to be a cheaper offer at least on their side. Very friendly, accomodating staff there.

Almost any sushi in "sushi for fat white people." Americans are not accustomed to eating just what they need to fill up, small portions, and enjoying the "entertainment" factor of a meal with friends. They want to stuff themsevles, feel sated, and go home fat.

I do not eat sushi but I loooove California Rolls! Tell your husband to live a little and try something new. That plate is a TON of food!!

I do not normally eat the rolls, however i do enjoy sushi, sashimi, and hand rolls (the ones w seaweed outside that looks like a cone). I really enjoy their sushi, They have the best tuna I have had in town, and it rivals the stuff I have had at some really nice restaurants in Houston.
