I had some tacos today at the small Exxon on 2818 just down the road from the other Exxon on 2818 (the giant one @ Villa Maria).

Nothing fancy, but the barbacoa was awesome!

It made me wonder if anyone else has a favorite mom-&-pop-running-a-grill-in-a-gas-station type spot?

I hear the one in Wixon Valley is really good too.

4 Corners Market on the corner of Hwy. 6 and Wilkes Street in Bryan (near Bonham Elemetary).

We do not live near them anymore, but every once in a while the kids and I will go back for the cheeseburgers, sandwiches, and fried burritos. Dang, now I'm hungry....

Mi Familia at the Shell Station (Hwy6/Baron Rd.) is the best breakfast taco in College Station. You have to go all the way to downtown Bryan to get anything as good.

that's the one I'm always talking about. They have the most delicious breakfast tacos! It's on the corner of La Brisa & 2818, south of the VM/2818 intersection. There's always an older hispanic lady and a younger girl and I was in there enough they'd start making my order as soon as they saw me walk in. Always get extra salsa roja! Cheap, too... the tacos were like $1.25 each if I remember correctly. She makes the tortillas right there on the griddle when you place your order.

Mi Familia lunch special rocks. Ate there the last 2 days. Yest was 3 beef ench, rice,beans and a tea for 4.99.

Today was chicken fajitas,rice,beans and a tea.

$5.40 total. Cant beat that!

The old Nuches gas station across from Mc Donalds on hwy 21 has awesome breakfast burritos. And they are huge.

La Brisa, that's the street it is on. I'll have to try the salsa next time.

Pop, Frank's in Steep Hollow was the one I was thinking of, not Wixon Valley.

Its been a while since I've been there, but the Lone Star Grocery on Highway 21 @ MLK had a pretty good burger. Is that still the case?

went in there for tacos this morning! They're going to have menudo tomorrow - might be a little hot for menudo but I'll be damned if I don't love the stuff and theirs just has to be fantastic.
