So I got the solicitation call to buy the coupon book $40 to help the raise money for the band. I asked how much of that money do the kids actually get and they said they are guaranteed $2000 dollars and that they earn $3 from every book sale. It doesn't seem like the kids are making much from the sale of these books.

They said there's a coupon for free oil change and free tire rotation and that coupon alone paid for the cost of the book. Has anyone bought one this year? Is it worth the $40?

Wait until this summer when the band kids start selling the books.

Definitely worth it. Even if you only go out to eat twice a month, it will pay for itself in no time.

I don't know if anyone in your family golfs, but there some good coupons for all the area courses.

My wife and I buy a minimum of one and sometimes as many as 3-4 books per year.

We keep one in every vehicle and sometimes one at the house.

There are several coupons for BOGO free in addition to many other great savings.

This along with the Rudder Ranger Discount Card are our two favorite ways to save money around town and help both Bryan High Schools.

I too agree that they are worth the buy. We have saved plenty to cover the cost of the books.

Problem I do have, is that I wish they didn't have so much administrative and printing costs and that the Bryan Band Boosters actually received more. 92% is an aweful high cost for something like this. I know they probably cost $15-20 per book to print, but someone should be researching better printing deals... either way $3 to the Booster is $3 more than they had and I recovered the $40 spent fairly quick.

Wait until the band kids sell them. I know the ones the kids sell, the kid actually gets $10 of the $40. The band boosters also gets a cut. The band definitely makes a very good profit off these, and they are definitely a good deal and pay for themselves very quickly.
