I am so angry with this company. We purchase three thousand dollars worth of furniture with a warranty one year and 19 days ago(this was an extra one.) They refuse to honor a warranty on their less than quality sofa. Beware they are not honorable nor do they care for repeat business or their reputation.
Buy at your own risk!!!!!

My mother had the same problem...I am so surprised that they are still around..I would rather drive to houston and get better furniture cheaper!

We were really surprised at the sofa we bought there just a few years ago. It's falling apart. Not very durable at all. I realize furniture doesn't necessarily last forever, but this sofa went downhill fast! It started sagging in the middle where we usually sit just a few months after we bought it.

Hopefully future furniture buyers will research a bit and learn from our mistakes.

Just to be sure: you purchased furniture a year and 19 days ago, or you purchased furniture 19 days ago that has a one year warranty?

What, exactly, is wrong with the furniture?

Sounds to me like you need to talk to someone a little higher up in the Furniture Row chain. I bought a mattress from them about 2 months ago and I know if I start having problems with it before the warranty is up I wouldn't rest until I got the problem solved. I mean that's what a warranty is for.

Hm, we have a couch and chair from them that we've had for 7 years, two moves, and two small boys. they're still in good shape.

Glad you had a good experience, Elsie. I asked about durable furniture back in Sept., and others voiced similar issues with FR products.

I'm sure mileage varies, and I'm not one to dis a product online, unless I've got strong personal experience. It's possible only some of their products are cheap and some of them more durable. But, I'll be dropping my money at another furniture store next time based on our negative experience.

I know people are going to say they cost more but we got all our furniture at Ashleys. We have had our couch for 2 years now and you cant even see the spot that everyone always seems to pick to sit at. We had a problem with a dresser that got broken in delivery and they tried to fix the problem that day but didnt have that exact dresser in stock. They ordered one and delivered it right away.

In this case, you get what you pay for. Furniture Row is terrific for budget furniture, or a place to pick up some college apartment items for the last couple of years at school. I probably wouldn't buy my hope-to-last-10-years family room couch there, though.

We did buy our tall breakfast table and eight chairs there about 4 years ago or so. Probably spent $800. Solid wood and its held up pretty well, especially since my boys beat the crap out of it.

We bought all of our living room furniture plus sons' bunkbeds and kitchen table at Star. Love it all. The living room furniture we've had for 10 years and is still the most comfortable couches you will ever sit on.

Also bought a bed at Lacks that is wonderful. We always felt Furniture Row furniture felt and looked cheap.

Everyone has different experiences. We bought our bedroom set and a coffee table at Lacks. The delivery guys were 5 hours late - something about the truck breaking down and they had to rent a truck, which I understand, but a phone call would have made things much easier.

The guys banged up our walls, scraped up the coffee table bringing it in and we found a crack underneath it that could have been the delivery guys or could have been there before. The mechanism that makes the drawers slide in and out on the dresser were broken within 6 months. They are little ball bearings on a track. They all pop right out of the track when ever you open the drawer. It was fixable, but with what we spent on that set, we shouldn't have had to.

I think Furniture Row is "starter" furniture. There is a reason it is so cheap! We purchased leather sofa/loveseat from Star twelve years ago and it still looks brand new (even with 2 dogs).

We bought from a store in Dallas because none of the local stores could even come close to matching the price for the same brand. Picked it up ourselves and trailered it to Bryan. Freakin sturdiest furniture we have ever had...and too heavy to move very often. But you get what you pay for. Cheap furniture will wear and last like cheap furniture. We paid extra for bunkbeds from Star because we wanted to make sure than a grown adult could sleep in them without fear of them breaking. Could have saved a bundle from Ashley or FR, but not worth the money saved it it breaks.

we went there after they first opened to get new living room furniture. We were on the fence with 2 sets. We finally decided on one.

3 mpnths after owning it, the foam cushions inside the microfiber cover was shifting. Every single cushion was lopsided with a huge luimp in it. I called to request new cushions. There was no issue since it was within the waranty. HOWEVER, when the cushions came in, it was again only the foam inserts, which would eventually do the same thing.

I called and spoke with the manager, and told him that there was no way I was keeping this furniture set. After some resistance he finally agreed to a full credit. We then went in and got the other set we had wanted. That was 4-5 years ago, and this set has held up well.

Don't back down until you are satisfied. There is not reason year old furniture should be falling apart.

When our second daughter was born, my inlaws bought our oldest a nice bedroom suite from Star. Our second daughter just turned 18 and bits and pieces of that set are spread out between the oldest (still has the dresser and one bed), our son (has the remaining bunkbed) and us (the desk with book shelf is in the livingroom for both kids to use). The only drawback to their furniture is that it's hard to justify buying new items, since it takes so long for the old ones to wear out! Thank goodness for kids graduating, moving and needing furniture, otherwise I might never get a new couch!

We have bought a sofa, loveseat, mattress & our daughter's complete bedroom set from Furniture Row. Love every bit of it! Friendly staff & on time delivery guys plus, great financing options! We are about to purchase a dining room set from them for Thanksgiving! Sorry you have had a not so great experience!
