Understandable. IMO, JAB is a higher quality than Men's Wearhouse. Their pricing policies leave much to be desired, and the local store doesn't stock much. The Sig Gold for $500 is a good value right now. I use Nick Lopez in Houston for tailoring and have always been pleased.

Expect to pay $50-200 on tailoring depending on what the suit needs done to fit correctly, but it'll be done right by someone that knows how a suit should fit.
If the local Dillards carries the Daniel Cremieux "Signature Collection", that would be a decent choice. Those suits are made by HSM and should be half canvassed. Also, the Hickey Freeman Collection (not Limited) suits Dillards carries are a decent value.
It all comes down to how much you want to pay. Good luck with your hunt.
