bad analogy. if my vehicle being parked in the back corner of an intramural field parking lot at 11:30 at night is going to physically harm someone, such as someone speeding in a school zone, then, yes, write my ass a ticket and i won't complain ever again.

however, when you have absolutely ZERO visitors spots, then people are going to have to park illegally.

as stated above, it was about 11:30 at night, the parking lot was empty and i parked in the back corner. after less than an hour, i had a parking ticket in a still empty lot. are you trying to tell me you actually believe the possibility that between 11:30 and 12:30 at night, a parking lot can go from empty to full to empty again, AND the officer just happened to be able to check every single car like he is santa claus?

So you mean to tell me that you should be able to get away with parking where ever you please at what ever time you please, as long as it doesn't trouble anyone else? And if I park in the same lot (different day), the same parking spot, at the exact time you were parked that I should get a ticket because the lot wasn't empty? Rules are rules, no matter how you look at them. They aren't suggestions for people to follow if they feel it's ok.

Here's an even worse example. You kill someone who beat your wife. The guy deserved it so by your idea it should be ok?

They DO keep a record of tickets for a long time. The son of a lady I work with had his brother's ticket added to his tuition when he enrolled. The brother hadm't been in A&M in several years. He wasn't considered enrolled until his brother's ticket was paid. How they knew of the relation is anybody's guess.

if you are a former student, they will block you from getting transcripts.

If you are a current student, they will stick it on your tuition bill.

They will tikect visitors. I had a rental car one time that got a ticket on campus. I just let it go, but apparently the university tried to collect from Enterprise, and they tracked me down a month or two later.

You at least used to be able to write on the ticket that you were a visitor and get the first one dismissed.

They did also used to put boots on cars and good luck if you wanted them to come right out and remove the boot.

I swear I had a face to face meeting with the head cheese of PTTS in the fall of 1975 after a bunch of idiots picked up my car and placed it in a flower bed on campus and he looked just like Bob Wiatt(silver hair and eye patch). All the bios about Mr Wiatt say he didn't start at A&M until the 80's but this guy looked just like him, anyone know who I'm talking about?
