Any good ones in B/CS? Preferably someone who doesn't charge an arm and a leg for a picture. We are paying for this wedding ourselves and aren't looking to drop 2,000 for pictures.

My son and his fiance are using Vintage Charm Photography, her name is Kristy and I believe she charges $700.00 but am not sure how long that is for or what is included but I think she would be worth contacting. Her number is 979-220-8154. She did their engagement pictures and they came out beautiful.

Try Studio One. Darren Hill is a great photographer, he did our wedding and was very reasonable.

We used Amy Casas of Amy Casas Photography for our daughters wedding. She charged $800. for 5 hours and she gave us the disks so we could do what we wanted with them. I loaded them up to Shutterfly.com and made some amazing books.

I went down to Houston to find my photographer. you can get the same quality at every level for a smaller price. no offense to photogs on this board, but I think photography in College Station is a bit overpriced for the size of the town and the quality of work--this isn't NY, LA or Boston. the travel fee that most photogs charge is negligible compared to the total cost. mine charged me $75 to come up to CS from south Houston.

edit: I say that, but I do think that photography is something that should be a significant part of the wedding budget--it was my single largest cost--because after everything is over, the pictures and the memories are what is left. I just think that there's a better bang for your buck in Houston.

I found out the price for Vintage Charm is actually $750.00 and includes a cd of all of your pictures as well as the copyright release.

i agree with cheer that you should spend some money on wedding photos. a cheap photographer might get 'the shot' 50% of the time, but an experienced wedding team (guy and girl) will get the shot many more times than that.

i disagree though that the photographers in this town are overpriced. there are many here that do a wonderful job and who are worth what you pay. Houston does have lots of photographers, but BCS has gotten big enough that it isn't a necessity to go to a 'big city' to find the creative pros you want for your big day.

It's a personal preference, but these photos are the one's you'll be looking at for years, and to me that was pretty significant.
