This mosque was on 29th near the Hospital for years in Bryan. Many of the members own business in Bryan and live in the Indian lake, pebble creek area. The old mosque was in a strip center and was not the best area for a mosque. That is why they moved mosque into a wealthy area of College Station. They had the Money and wanted their mosque near the place they lived. No other reason. As for security check out all the security at the Baptist church on FM 158/ HWY-30 also. It's normal in today's times.
The ignorant and xenophobic fear that has been displayed in this thread saddens me. Yes, they are 'different' than us, get over it and control yourself. People like you that assume too much and understand far too little before taking an extreme and knee-jerk reaction are the exact reason places of worship need security forces.
