They quoted me over $800 for a plumbing job that was done by a real local company for almost 1/4 of that.

I would stay away from them.

Yep, they are way high. They wanted $199 to fix a leaking kitchen faucet. I went to Lowes and bought the part for under $20, & did the work. Saved lots, so I was happy!!

A couple of years ago I needed a new heating element for my water heater. They came and quoted $800 for a new water heater.

Ridiculous. I spent less than $100 to fix it.

I am confused.....do you regularly call an AC company for plumbing issues??? Maybe that's why the prices are so high ....just saying!!

Same thing... they wanted nearly $300 for something another guy did for $75. Their rep was even ahppy to show me a laminated price sheet to prove he wasn't "over-charging" me.

Shawn thanks for the clarification...I am soon to be in the market of a new ac and will steer clear of their services. FYI....Sears does a similar approach, they advertise different services under their name but then have a sub-contracted company come do the work. Really if you go through the original company they are cheaper because obviously Sears has to upcharge for their part in the process.

Rock, same thing with us. I was out of town and water heater went out. New Water Heater needed at $1000 and they happen to have one on the truck. I told wife to tell them to go and **** themselves.

I lit the pilot when I got home. Gee, no heater problems since then.

Please do not confuse them with Moore A/C:

I have never had any problems with them. But John Moore, is another story, I would stay away from them.

Plumbers often do HVAC service/install. The two are not all that different...flowing liquids and all...
