I have a posting on Craigslist and plan to put out signs on the main roads near our neighborhood. Any other good places to advertise (preferably for free)?

Just make another post on a new day like you did before.

You should also do an ad in the Eagle. Many of the garage sale regulars just go ad to ad in the Eagle on the weekends.

I've tried doing that and it tells me that a similiar post already exists, and doesn't allow the 'duplicate' post.

If this is in CS (Bryan too?) I hope you have your city permit.

By CoCS code, they say you can only put garage sale signs up in your yard.

Had a huge garage sale on our street that blocked 5 driveways. called police they showed up made everyone move.

The police that showed up there had no clue that a permit was needed or that signs could only go up in your yard.

when I showed him the printed out page from their website, he was surprised.

I think some do not know the garage sale rules.

( not knocking our men/women in blue at all, just a ton of codes/laws/permits to remember, it would mess me up too) They all do a great job!

LOL I needed to leave and could not for 30 minutes.

You could also post on Facebook Marketplace in the For Sale section. Be sure to list what your are selling on any of your posts (children clothing, adult bike, old working radio, cheap furniture, etc). By listing some of the large or "hot" items more people might come.

Also encourage people to come early so you can sell and close up quickly by 11 or noon.
