Sudden Link Internet in Certain Parts of Central College Station

internet by Suddenlink has been down for 2 (goin on 3 tomorrow) days. i can understand an outage and needing repairs. however, i cant believe they would be down for so freakin long.

we've called Suddenlink and the recorder acknowledges problems in some part of BCS and keeps promising to get it up and going asap but this is getting pretty freakin ridiculous.

We have lost internet for about an hour each night the past 2 nights but it was at 3:00 am. I haven't been up at that time so it hasn't affected me.

My internet service went out yesterday afternoon and finally today I was able to talk to a person about it. Keep getting a recording prior to that about them knowing there was a problem and they were working diligently to reconcile the problem.

Today the recorded message stated that many people were reporting that the service was slow so I knew that it must be back on again, so I unplugged my modem and router, and then turned them back on; and now I finally have service.

About the service being out through the night--they called and said that they were doing updates or whatever at certain times. My husband took the call and I am not sure what the times were.

Mine was out most of yesterday. Periodically during the day I rebooted computer and modem... Finally, early evening it came on.

Oh, I am south of Fitch.

I live in South CS off of RP and I haven't had any issues. They did leave a message on our machine saying they would be working on things for about 30 minutes around 2-3am Tuesday morning.

Suddenlink did some maintenance around 2 to 3 am on Tuesday morning, there were some major issues and most modems came back around noon on Tuesday, the people with 3.0 modems were out until 7pm Tuesday. Maintenance was done again last night and that explains the loss of data this time there were no issues. Either way when issues get resolved, a lot of modems need a hard reset by unplugging them power cord and also taking the battery out on phone modems. Hope this helps explain.

Luv - Thats pretty much what we experienced in the WPC area of CS. We lost internet for about 30 minutes around 2-3 AM Tuesday morning.

just got through to a rep a few mins ago and he said that everyone was back up now as of an hour or so ago. he helped me reset my modem and now i'm back up also.

still...i think its completely unacceptable to have internet down for over 2 days (as it was in my part of the city).

Suddenlink sucks. Mine internet was down a few hours this afternoon.
