does anyone know the fine for parking in a handicap spot?

It should be $500 and automatic tow of your vehicle.

Doc-I agree but this was my daughter who briefly parked in a spot in at her apartment complex. She knows she messed up and will pay the fine -but we can't find it on the CS website

Find it hard to believe the fine isn't listed on the ticket itself... At least that's been the case on all the tickets I've received over the years. It gives a ticket fee if paid early, and a fee for payment after a certain date if I'm not mistaken...

Amen Doc, not to mention extremely rude and disrespectful of our handicap citizens. Burns me up every time I see some one parked in one and they do not belong.

A quick call to the non emergency # and the response I got was $320.00.

I know this sounds weird, but make sure it's a real ticket. I see people parked in those spots in apartments all the time. We can't touch them no matter if they are supposed to be there or not. I've never seen parking athority come into an apartment complex just for one ticket. I could be wrong since I'm only there at nights.

Haha not quite. When we go through apartment complexes we are only looking for non residents parked in resident spots. When we come across a handicap spot with a car without a parking pass ( handicap hang tag or not) we leave it alone under the assumption that it's a handicap person that HAS to park there and not a visitor spot. If it happens to not have a handicap tag out of respect we call PD and let them know. I'm not sure if they do anything though. I'm also not sure if this is something all companies do but it's something we do.

Parking authorities can and do enter apartment complexes to give handicapped parking violations... All the buildings around Northgate are especially vulnerable because their owners request that they do regular checks.
