Madden's, Downtown Uncorked and Square One(the place with the risqué art) are wanting to put together a fun evening in Downtown Bryan. The idea is to start everyone out with appetizers at Square One, the main entree at Madden's, and finish with dessert and a wine flight at Downtown Uncorked. We are wanting to do this in late June, inbetween all of our restaurant's planned events, and try to do the event monthly, afterwards.

I ask a small favor. Please keep the thread as clean as possible, because the Ardens and the Maddens may not love your humor as much as I do.

How many people would be interested in participating? Please give us any suggestions, as to how we could make this an event you would enjoy.

I chaired the auction for the Boys & Girls Club charity golf tourney and dinner this year. A downtown progressive dinner was graciously donated by the wonderful owners of Uncorked, Square One and Madden's. Appetizers-Wine and Chese at Uncorked, Dinner at Square One and Dessert/Coffee at Madden's. It was one of the most popular auction items I've seen. Pretty sure you will have enormous interest from the community.

The Ardens and Maddens are such great people to work with! We really hope the idea catches on, because since I have lived here, I've always heard people comment about adults needing more to do, away from the students, and I'm excited to help start something.

I would so love that and I know my DH would as well. I love progressive dinners. Thanks for reminding me about them!

I won't speak for Madden's, but our part and Uncorked will have vegetarian options. Wine is made from fruit, so you could say the whole night is centered around fruit..

Great idea, and I would be very interested.

What day of the week would this take place? I normally go downtown every Friday for Happy Hour, and then dinner. Friday evenings would be awesome, since I am already there! Not sure how that would affect the First Friday festivities, or if that is even an option since those are monthly events as well.

Again, excellent idea! I know several in my group who would love the idea also.

I love all 3 of these places and have done the Downtown Uncorked and then to Square One with my girlfriends already. Adding in Madden's would be fantastic!

Looking at a Calander, if you did it on a Friday it leaves you with June 11th or 24th because June 4th is First Friday and the 18th is Texas Reds Festival. Personally I am for a weekday night like a Wednesday or Thursday evening and Saturday if it a weekend evening, but that is just me!

Count the Whiskey Charlie's boys and there better halves in on that. My wife would love it.

Mrs. Ro and I will plan to be there. And if it's beef or vegetarian or whatever is of no consequence as long as it's good and there's plenty of it.

We are strongly considering Wed., June 30th.

Is $50 per person a fair price? I believe that all 3 places are including a paired glass of wine, and Uncorked will have a flight(3 2oz glasses).

Likely too late for this now - but if the idea sticks, you might be able to hook up with the Children's Museum to offer a parents night out nearby.

I certainly would if I didn't have a newborn baby at home.
