I am an idiot sometimes, like when I leave cash intended to go to the bank in my slacks.
I make up for it by surrounding myself with good people though. After I left my slacks with the Briarcrest Cleaners this morning, I had a phone call in about two minutes.
Dora and Lisa at the Boonville Road location, found money in my slacks. I returned to get it, left them money for lunch (which they did not easily take), and thanked them for their honesty.
They said it is the policy of Briarcrest Cleaners to return money to the customer, and it happens all the time.
Policy or not, it is 2010, and they did the right thing, because of who they are.
Good job Briarcrest Cleaners, for hiring great people, and thank you Dora and Lisa!
(I realize some will critique my oversight in leaving money in my slacks, but it was worth my embarrassment to highlight the integrity of these fine people.)
God's Peace,
Chuck
